Reservationless Conference Call FAQs

You can use Reservationless audio conferencing anytime you are hosting conference calls for meetings that are less than 150 participants, and that do not require a reservation or an operator to assist in conducting a call.

No reservations are required with Reservationless audio. Just inform your participants of the time, date and dial-in information. The account information is reusable.
Reservationless dialing offers a variety of features to enhance your call including record and playback, billing codes, toll-free dial-in for international participants, 24/7 operator assistance and more.
At any time during your call, you can request an operator simply by pressing *0 (group) or 00 (private) on your telephone keypad.
The default number is 150 participants for a reservationless call, although greater capacity is available upon request. (Operator assisted calls can accommodate up to 10,000.)

To begin a reservationless call:

  1. At the specified time, dial your toll-free dial-in number.
  2. When prompted, enter your conference code followed by #.
  3. When prompted, press * to identify yourself as the leader.
  4. When prompted, enter your leader PIN followed by #.
  5. Press 1 to begin your conference or press 2 to change your default conference options.
  6. If the security passcode option is enabled, you should enter it at this time.

Instruct your participants to join the call as follows:

  1. At the scheduled time, dial the toll-free dial in number.
  2. When prompted, enter the conference code followed by the # key.
  3. 3. When prompted, they should provide their name followed by #.

If the security passcode option is enabled, the participant will enter it at this time.

After entering the incorrect PIN three times, you will hear the following message, “I'm sorry, but your entry is not valid. Please hang up and try again.” Please contact our 24/7 customer service and support number at 866-257-1425 and follow the automated message to have your welcome e-mail resent. You may also speak to a representative by pressing 1, then 2, when prompted.
After entering the incorrect conference code three times, you will be disconnected. Please confirm your conference code by calling the support line at 866-257-1425.

Once dialed into your conference, simply use your telephone keypad to access these commands:

*0 Operator assistance – conference
00 Operator assistance – individual
*1 Dial-out to a participant – leader only
*2 Begin/end conference record – leader only
*3 Change entry/exit method (recorded names, tones, silence) – leader only
*4 Private roll call
*5 / #5 Mute/unmute all lines except leader's – leader only
*6 / #6 Mute/unmute your own line
*7 / #7 Lock/unlock conference (including operator) – leader only
*8 Allow/disallow conference continuation – leader only
*9 Start/join sub-conferencing
11 Third-party conference start - bypass hold music to start call as leader
*51 / #51    Lecture mode on/off – leader only
#99 Disconnect all lines except leader’s – leader only
*# Private participant count

NOTE: All of the above commands may not be enabled on your account.
Yes, participants that join the conference after you complete the group mute command will be muted, unless the leader locks the call.

Owner numbers are assigned to each SpeakSpace account holder to identify that person. When you are setting up a conference with an operator or requesting edits to your account settings, your owner number is used to identify your account.

To access or change your conference code:

  1. Go to http://speakspace.tcconline.com  
  2. Enter your username and password (if you have not established an online account, please create that first).
  3. Click Manage Your Account.
  4. Click View/Edit Owner Information.
  5. Click View Product Details.
  6. Access and change your conference code.

To access or change your leader PIN:

  1. Go to http://speakspace.tcconline.com.
  2. Enter your username and password (if you have not established an online account, please create that first).
  3. Click Manage Your Account.
  4. Click View/Edit Owner Information.
  5. Click View Product Details.
  6. Access and change your leader PIN.

Follow the steps below to access your international dial-in numbers:

Leaders Only

  1. Go to http://speakspace.tcconline.com.
  2. Enter your conference code in the “Get Dial in Numbers” box on the home page.
